Resources

Here are some of the tools and software that I use for my own business.

There’s a lot to choose from, and this is by no means an exhaustive list.

These are tools that I personally use (or have used) in order to launch and grow my business. I can attest for each of these and I hope you find them valuable as well.

Customer Relationship Management

Dubsado

If client management matters to you, you cannot go wrong with Dubsado. It’s what I use to run my business!

I send my proposals, invoices, contacts, and questionnaires automatically – so I can focus on serving my clients.

Lucky for you, if you use my code FOOLISH20 at checkout, you’ll get 20% off.

Choosing web hosting

SiteGround

My current web hosting company. SiteGround is affordable and the support is top notch.

Several of my clients are also using SiteGround. Check them out.

Flywheel

Flywheel is a top contender for web hosting and I’ve built a few sites with them. They only host WordPress websites. Although they are slightly more expensive than SiteGround, Flywheel is still a solid choice.

Buying a domain name

Go Daddy

I prefer to have my domain and hosting accounts separate.

If you are just getting started, check out GoDaddy. I use them for several of my domains and it’s affordable.

Email Marketing

Mailchimp

If you are just getting started, why pay for email marketing?

For lists under 2,000 contacts you can send email for free! (and reasonably priced after that)

Active Campaign

What I currently use.

I love the segmentation and automation tools. I can send specific and targeted emails to my list depending on their level of engagement and interest.

Business email services

GSuite (Gmail for Business)

I don’t like using my hosting account for my business email. Luckily, you can use the same Gmail service you are already using for your business – for just $5 a month.

Taking appointments

Calendly

To take appointments around the times that work for your business, give Calendly a try. It’s free to use. (although I use the paid version for more options)
